Xiaomi Redmi 5 launched with 5.7″ screen, 18:9 Display & 3,300 mAh battery

iaomi has launched their budget oriented smartphone named as Redmi 5 on 14, march in India. The device is same as the Redmi 5 which was launched in December last year in China. Xiaomi has left a lots of option on the side of RAM and storage  2GB/3GB/4GB RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage. Redmi comes with four Color variants Black, Gold, Rose Gold, and Lake Blue. It looks much more closer to the Redmi Note 5 apart from LED Flash on the front side.

Redmi 5 Display & Specification

Redmi 5 have a metal finish body and plastic frame, unlike the Redmi note 5. According to an official statement from MI the Redmi 5 will be slimmest phone in Redmi series. The redmi 5 comes with a 5.7-inch 18:9 display with HD+ (1440 × 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood it offers 14nm Qualcom Snapdragon 450 Octa-Core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU.

The Redmi 5 comes with a hybrid SIM slot that offers Dual 4G SIM cards or a MicroSD card. Talking about camera the device offers 12MP Camera on rear side eith f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP of camera on the front for selfies and video calling that features Beauty Mode 3.0. Both of the front and rear cameras features a LED Flash.

On the battery side Redmi 5 have a 3,300 mAh battery which is smaller one as compared to Redmi Note 5 that offers 4,000 mAh battery. The device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat based on MIUI 9 out of the box. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back side like all the Redmi phones.

Price & Availablity

On the connectivity side Redmi 5 includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, IR Blaster, 3.5mm Audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The device will sold in india via Amazon.in, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores from March 20th.
